The monitoring process is a key component of professional development and ongoing staff training. The role of the supervisor is to help staff reflect on their current performance, identify development and education needs and plan how best to meet them: it is important that the guardian and confidentiality supervision be clearly included in the monitoring contract. Information from surveillance can inform interviews between the supervisory authority and its supervisor on matters that affect management`s work, particularly in the event of a danger to individuals or management. Surveillance has the right to exchange information that occurs in the context of surveillance if: in the context of a monitoring meeting, supervisory authorities may find that the use of direct monitoring would be an appropriate method to verify professional skills in practice. When they think about feedback from this type of observation, it allows social workers to demonstrate their ability to practice with confidence and professionalism. The discussion also offers the opportunity to check their skills with their supervisor in a practical environment (see Appendix F: Direct Observation Guidance and Template). To do this, we have provided a Blackpool Case Critical document (see Appendix E: Case Review) divided into sections that can be used to critically reflect and analyze our work. It also contains three sections at the end of the document. These must be concluded by your supervisor or superior. This document should also be used to prepare agreed group monitoring. The type of work done in the service of children and young people can lead staff to cope with difficult situations, insecurity and stress. An important function of supervision is to help staff cope with these challenges: while there is no need for a complete balance of the four functions at each supervisory meeting, it is important that none of them systematically dominate the monitoring process. Supervisory and supervisory authorities should monitor any tendency to focus on a specific function and consider why this may occur.
Part-time workers should be adequately and appropriately supervised. Critical reflection and analysis of our actions and interventions as social workers are an integral part of personal and professional development. We looked at management oversight and available guidelines. We found that an important part of monitoring is the ability to critically analyze all aspects of user service intervention.
